Nina Gerwin is an entrepreneur and new-tech enthusiast, and the founder & CEO of The Eye Capture Company (EyeCapture.net). Eye Capture uses image recognition technology to supplement plain old magazines with curated deep links and interactive content via smartphones.
Previously, she spent time as an Executive-in-Residence (EIR) at Plug & Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, advising start-ups in product & business strategy, and business development for B2C and B2B software and hardware products and services. She is the former COO of an online video start-up focused on professionally-produced, high-def content; and CMO of a retail product data aggregator supplying location+product specific information to websites and mobile developers.
Nina is also the Principal at The NRG Group, a management and marketing consulting practice focused on the integration of brand and direct marketing across an enterprise, channels, and tactics. An astute marketing professional bent on maximizing customer acquisition and engagement, Nina assess her clients’ current situation, works with them on where they need to be, and develops and implements plans to get them there. Her focus is on brand strategy and analysis as well as end-to-end marketing activities across traditional, digital, and social marketing mediums. Uniquely talented in that she combines data analysis and segmentation with exceptional big brand creative sensibilities driving growth for major corporations like HBO, The Disney Channel, Comcast, Epsilon, Bare Escentuals, Architectural Digest Magazine, and start-ups.
Nina is a voting member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (EMMYs) and a two-term Chapter President for a national, all-volunteer, non-profit organization focused on leadership and development for people of color in the cable industry. She is also a pro bono consultant for the Taproot Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides professional marketing and other key services for qualified non-profit organizations.
